Centre of New Technologies
The aim of the Centre for New Technologies at the University of Warsaw is to create an environment open to new ideas and concepts that enables the development and education of scientific and economic leaders.
The work of the laboratories that make up our unit is based on the implementation of interdisciplinary research on the borderline between biology, chemistry, physics, medicine and information technology.
The UW Centre of New Technologies consists of 25 laboratories, and although it focuses on research, it also conducts didactic activities by organizing periodic seminars given by CeNT UW scientists and their guests.
Projects conducted at CeNT UW are carried out within the following fields:
Molecular biology – of particular importance for medicine and the environment
Structural research – analysis of the structures of chemical compounds and materials
Synthesis and development of new materials – functional materials, nanomaterials and biomaterials
Physics – its applications to modern technology and engineering
Computational sciences – improving functionality and new applications
